It is with profound sadness that we have learned of the passing of Geoff on 13th. August at the age of 85. The League sends its sincere condolences to his family and his many friends and colleagues in the Snooker world.

As a highly talented amateur Snooker player in the 1960s and 1970s, Geoff won the prestigious London Area championship on 6 occasions (1971 and 1975-1979).

Geoff played regularly in the Harrow League for Greenford Cons. Club, during which time he won the Dwyer Bowl on 5 occasions (1965,1967,1969,1973,1974).

In addition to the President and Vice-President, Messrs Shine and Slade respectively, the following Committee was elected.

As a result of this there is a vacancy for General Secretary. In his report delivered earlier on in the meeting, Chairman Dave Rose expressed his frustration that he has had to shoulder the responsibility of this additional role for the past 10 years. He had hoped that someone would wish to play a small part in helping to run the League by joining the Committee in this capacity, and would be pleased to hear from them.
